CRITICAL NOTICE — READ BEFORE PURCHASING: G3 Bioscience & Research products are sold for Research Use Only (RUO) — strictly for in-vitro and in-vivo laboratory research in properly licensed and equipped facilities. They are NOT approved by the FDA or any other regulatory body for use in humans. They are NOT dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or veterinary medicines. Human consumption of these products is strictly prohibited and may be dangerous, illegal, or fatal. Every batch is analytically verified by independent third-party HPLC (purity) and mass spectrometry (identity) prior to release. By completing a purchase, you certify that you have read, understood, and will comply with this entire Research Use Policy.
1. Definition of Research Use Only (RUO)
"Research Use Only" (RUO) is a regulatory designation recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) indicating that a product is intended solely for scientific investigation in a properly equipped and licensed laboratory setting. This includes both in-vitro research (cell and tissue studies) and in-vivo animal model research conducted under applicable institutional oversight (IACUC or equivalent). RUO products are not the subject of any Investigational New Drug Application (IND), New Drug Application (NDA), Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA), or Biologics License Application (BLA) under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. § 301 et seq.), and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or efficacy in humans. RUO products:
- Have not been evaluated for safety or efficacy in humans by the FDA, DEA, or any regulatory body;
- Are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease, disorder, or medical condition in humans;
- Are not intended for clinical or therapeutic use;
- Are not considered dietary supplements under 21 U.S.C. § 321(ff);
- Are not approved for use in food, cosmetics, or products applied to the human body;
- Are analytically verified by independent third-party HPLC (purity) and mass spectrometry (identity) prior to release — batch-specific COAs available for every lot.
2. Purchaser Eligibility & Certification
By placing an order, you represent and certify under penalty of perjury that:
- You are at least 21 years of age;
- You are a qualified researcher, scientist, laboratory technician, or academic professional with the training and facilities appropriate for handling research-grade compounds;
- You are purchasing the product(s) solely for lawful in-vitro or in-vivo laboratory scientific research conducted in a properly equipped, licensed facility;
- You have the legal authority to purchase, possess, import, and use the product(s) under all applicable laws of your jurisdiction;
- You will not administer, sell, transfer, or otherwise provide the product(s) to any person for human or animal consumption;
- You understand the potential risks associated with handling research compounds and will take all necessary precautions;
- You have reviewed the relevant safety data, literature, and applicable regulations for the compound(s) you are ordering.
Providing false certification constitutes fraud and may expose you to civil and criminal liability. G3 reserves the right to verify purchaser credentials and to refuse or cancel any order at its sole discretion.
3. Prohibited Uses — Absolute Restrictions
The following uses are absolutely prohibited and constitute a material breach of your purchase agreement:
- Human self-administration: Injecting, ingesting, inhaling, applying topically, or otherwise introducing any G3 product into a human body by any route, including your own;
- Human clinical use: Use in any clinical trial, compounding pharmacy, or therapeutic setting without explicit FDA authorization (IND/NDA/ANDA approval);
- Unsupervised veterinary use: Administration to any animal for therapeutic, companion-care, or livestock purposes without appropriate veterinary licensure, regulatory authorization, and applicable IACUC or ethics board approval. Legitimate in-vivo animal model research conducted in a licensed laboratory with IACUC approval is not prohibited by this clause;
- Resale for personal use: Reselling, distributing, or gifting products to any person who does not qualify under Section 2 above, or with the knowledge or intent that the recipient will use the product for non-research purposes;
- Misrepresentation: Representing G3 products as pharmaceutical drugs, supplements, or approved treatments to any party;
- Compounding: Incorporating G3 products into any product intended for human or veterinary use, including compounded medications or topical preparations, without applicable federal and state regulatory authorization;
- Unlawful export: Exporting products in violation of US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or the laws of the destination country.
4. Regulatory Framework
United States Federal Law
Research compounds sold by G3 may be subject to the following federal statutes and regulations, among others:
- Federal Analog Act (21 U.S.C. § 813): This statute may apply where a compound is substantially similar in chemical structure or pharmacological effect to a Schedule I or II controlled substance and is intended for human consumption. Applicability is compound-specific and highly fact-dependent. G3 does not represent that any particular product is or is not subject to the FAA. Purchasers are independently responsible for verifying the scheduling status and analog-act exposure of any compound in their jurisdiction before ordering.
- Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA): Introducing unapproved drugs into interstate commerce is prohibited. Administering RUO products to humans constitutes introduction of an unapproved drug.
- Controlled Substances Act (CSA): Certain compounds may be scheduled or subject to analog scheduling. Purchasers are responsible for verifying DEA scheduling status in their jurisdiction.
- TSCA / REACH: Chemical handling, storage, and disposal obligations may apply under the Toxic Substances Control Act and related regulations.
State Law — California (G3's Home State)
G3 Bioscience & Research is a California-based business and all products are shipped from California. The following California-specific requirements apply to all transactions:
- Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986): WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov. Research compounds may contain chemical constituents subject to Prop 65 disclosure requirements.
- California AB 1887 (effective January 2025): All products shipped within California include a California-specific disclosure that the compound is not approved for human or animal therapeutic use within state borders.
- California Board of Pharmacy: G3 products are not sourced from or intended for use by compounding pharmacies. Any California-licensed compounding pharmacy that purchases G3 products for patient use violates both G3's Terms of Service and California pharmacy law.
- California Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) / Unfair Competition Law (UCL): California purchasers retain all rights under these statutes, which cannot be waived by contract.
Many other states also maintain their own controlled substance analog acts, scheduling statutes, and compound-specific regulations that may be more restrictive than federal law. It is the purchaser's sole responsibility to determine the legality of any compound in their state prior to ordering. G3 does not represent that any product is legal in any particular state.
International
Import of research compounds is regulated differently in every country. Many jurisdictions restrict or prohibit importation of peptides, growth hormone analogs, SARMs, and other research compounds without specific authorization. Purchasers outside the United States are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable import, customs, and possession laws. G3 does not represent that any product may be lawfully imported into any specific country.
5. Safe Handling Requirements
All G3 products must be handled in accordance with standard laboratory safety practices. Purchasers are required to:
- Review the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for each compound prior to handling;
- Handle all products in appropriate laboratory facilities with proper ventilation, personal protective equipment (PPE), and containment measures;
- Store products strictly in accordance with the storage specifications printed on the product label and COA (typically -20°C for lyophilized peptides);
- Avoid freeze-thaw cycles in reconstituted preparations — aliquot before freezing;
- Never shake lyophilized or reconstituted peptides — swirl gently to reconstitute;
- Dispose of unused product and biological waste in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal hazardous waste regulations;
- Maintain a chain-of-custody log for all research compounds received, including lot numbers and storage conditions.
6. Certificate of Analysis (COA)
Every G3 product is tested by an accredited independent third-party laboratory prior to release. The COA accompanying each lot confirms:
- Purity: Measured by HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography). G3's minimum standard is 98% purity; most lots exceed 98.5%.
- Identity: Confirmed by mass spectrometry (MS). Molecular weight is verified against the known molecular weight of the target compound.
- Water Content: Residual moisture measured by Karl Fischer titration, reported as percentage. G3 targets <6% for lyophilized peptides.
- Endotoxin Screening: LAL (Limulus Amebocyte Lysate) testing for bacterial endotoxins where applicable.
COAs are batch-specific and available upon request or attached to your order. A COA does not constitute an approval for human use and does not imply regulatory authorization in any jurisdiction.
7. Labeling & Packaging
All G3 products are labeled "For Research Use Only — Not For Human Consumption." Purchasers may not remove, obscure, or alter this labeling. If products are aliquoted or transferred for research purposes, all resulting containers must be labeled with the compound name, lot number, concentration, date of reconstitution, and the RUO designation.
8. Researcher Responsibility & Independent Assessment
G3 provides product information, COAs, and general research context as a convenience. This information does not constitute scientific advice, medical guidance, or a recommendation to conduct any specific experiment. The purchaser is solely responsible for:
- Independently reviewing the scientific literature on any compound before use;
- Designing and executing research protocols that comply with applicable institutional, ethical, and regulatory requirements;
- Obtaining any required Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), or other ethics approval before conducting research involving the compounds;
- Ensuring appropriate DEA researcher registration if required for the specific compound;
- All results, conclusions, and publications arising from research conducted with G3 products.
9. Age Verification
G3 employs a mandatory age verification gate requiring purchasers to confirm they are 21 years of age or older before accessing the site or completing a purchase. By bypassing this gate through technical means or by falsely confirming your age, you assume full legal responsibility for any resulting violations and agree to indemnify G3 against all resulting claims. Verification records are maintained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Reporting Misuse
If you become aware of any use of G3 products for human consumption, veterinary administration, or any other prohibited purpose, please report it immediately to compliance@g3research.com. Misuse of research compounds creates public health and legal risks that G3 takes seriously. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to product misuse.
11. No Medical Advice
Nothing on this website, in product descriptions, in educational articles, in the Field Notes newsletter, or in any G3 communication constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or encouragement to use any compound for human health purposes. G3 employees and representatives are not licensed medical professionals and cannot provide medical guidance. Consult a qualified healthcare provider for all health-related questions.
12. Consequences of Policy Violation
Violation of this Research Use Policy may result in:
- Immediate termination of your purchasing privileges and permanent ban from G3;
- Reporting to relevant law enforcement or regulatory agencies;
- Civil litigation for breach of contract and indemnification of G3 against third-party claims;
- Federal and/or state criminal prosecution for drug offenses, consumer protection violations, or fraud, depending on the nature of the misuse.
13. Updates to This Policy
G3 reserves the right to amend this Research Use Policy at any time to reflect changes in regulatory requirements, product offerings, or best practices. Updated versions will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the site or purchase of products after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
